Plus Two One One respects individual privacy while upholding the principles of responsible journalism and public interest reporting. This page explains how individuals may request the review or removal of certain personal information published on our platform.
We review all requests carefully and in good faith. However, not all content qualifies for removal.
Scope of Removal Requests
You may request the review or removal of personal information published in an article where you believe that the information is inaccurate, inappropriate, or unlawfully disclosed. You may also request the removal of photographs or videos in which you appear.
Requests relating to comments you have submitted or messages sent through our contact form will not result in deletion of those records. Comment data and contact form submissions are retained for legal, security, and administrative purposes.
If your name appears in a crime report and you have been officially identified as being involved, your name will not be removed without a valid court order. Information that forms part of a public record will not be removed.
Public Interest and Journalistic Freedom
Plus Two One One publishes investigative journalism, political reporting, public figure coverage, and crime-related stories. Removal requests will not override legitimate journalistic freedom.
We may refuse a removal request where the content is accurate and remains in the public interest. We may also refuse requests involving public record information or matters of public concern.
We will not comply with attempts to suppress lawful reporting through intimidation, political pressure, or misuse of this process.
Required Information for Requests
To submit a data removal request, you must provide your full legal name, your email address, a direct link to the content in question, and a clear explanation of why removal is being requested. You must also provide proof of identity sufficient to confirm that you are the person affected by the content.
Incomplete requests may not be reviewed.
Review and Possible Outcomes
All valid requests are reviewed carefully. After review, the outcome may include full removal of the content, partial redaction of specific personal details, correction of inaccurate information, or rejection of the request.
We reserve the right to reject repetitive requests, bad faith attempts to suppress lawful reporting, politically motivated removal demands, or requests that lack sufficient justification.
Submission Method
All data removal requests must be submitted via email to: [email protected]
Requests sent through other channels may not be processed.
